Metaphor for my life at this moment.

My entire life has been moving at a hundred miles an hour lately, and now it's all just. Quit. I mean I suppose it's like being in a speeding car and then crashing, everything just sort of flashes and then stops.

I'm glad to be free of the professors and the early morning wake ups. I'm so goddamn sick of waking up at five in the morning and trudging out into the world and living this...Life. Like what the fuck. I never had a life before.

Let me tell you one thing, the real world is a fucking scary place. Having a life is not safe, when you have one you have to wake up and do things, disgusting. I hate doing stuff that seems to have no purpose sometimes. I love school, but god. You get tired of waking up early, going there, sitting in the class, coming home and doing homework. It's that endless routine that you wish would just not exist. The same thing over and over, like a damn broken record.

Now I'm going on sounding like a broken record. It's like a disease.

In other less repetitive news, I've decided to get myself back into shape. Now you say, "What!? He hates getting up and doing stuff but he'll get up and go for a run or go to the gym. What's wrong?"
OK first off. Nothing is wrong. I just don't enjoy feeling like a big lump and sitting and doing nothing on my days off and just growing into a bigger lump.

First thing I've started to do again is eat healthy, not necessarily all vegetables and fruit continuously, but I mean just eating well in general. Eating food that's nutritious and tastes good, because there's no way in hell I'm eating something "healthy" that tastes like paste. Yuck. No thank you.

I miss my family, I miss Nevada, I miss my dog, I even miss the damn neon signs. How lame am I? But I love New York to no end, it's busy as fuck and not the safest place in the world, but I love it. It's beautiful. Skyscrapers and bright lights, even the yellow taxi's are becoming awesome.

Charlie and I are going to Kentucky to see his parents near the end of this month and then we're supposed to go to Florida for some sort of vacation type deal, we both deserve one. I've been working my ass off at A&F, and I have come to the conclusion. I hate that store. I'm in the process of looking for another job, not because I enjoy having a life, but because I do enjoy living. You see having a life and actual living are two different things. Life = work and effort. Living = food and happiness.

I do have a point, I promise.

I think I'm going to end this lengthy shenanigan and get myself a hot cup of coffee and breakfast.

Ta.

Dan.
